Noblesville, IN: (November 2021) The Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA) has announced that IDI Composites International has been inducted into the Manufacturers Hall of Fame. The award is to honor and recognize the manufacturing community and highlight those companies and individuals who have made substantial contributions to the industry.

Noblesville, IN: (August 2021) IDI Composites International Noblesville has earned the International Automotive Task Force IATF 16949 certification. This prestigious certification recognizes IDI’s commitment to quality control standards in the global automotive industry.

IATF 16949 certification is an automotive quality system requirement based on the International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001:2015, and customer specific requirements from the automotive sector and is a mandatory industry requirement, aligning automotive quality management systems throughout the world.

“As our global manufacturing footprint continues to expand and our new and innovative materials are increasingly specified by automotive designers and engineers for their outstanding performance, the IATF certification is further reflection of our unwavering commitment to the automotive industry,” states Tom Flood, IDI Composites International Vice President – North America.

IATF 16949 certification has risen to be one of the most widely used international standards in the automotive industry, and aims to harmonize the different assessment and certification systems in the global automotive supply chain. IATF 16949 certification is based on the 10 sections of the IATF’s “high level structure”, with specific requirements of each management standard needing to be met according to each section.

IATF 16949 certification describes the quality management system requirements for automotive production, service and/or accessory parts. It focuses on the development of a quality management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.
