Flamevex™ is IDI’s flame resistant material designed to minimize battery pack weight and maximize packaging space, without compromising thermal protection. Flamevex™ is designed for applications where safety, compliance, and performance must work together seamlessly.

IDI’s Flamevex™ materials offer a range of flame performance levels that can be tailored to an OEMs’ requirements. From UL 94 V0 and 5VA to UL2596 Thermal Runaway, we work with customers to identify the flame performance level best suited for their application.

Flamevex™ FV330

UL2596 Thermal Runaway - Box Test

This video shows a 200x200 mm Flamevex™ FV330 test sample undergoing the UL2596 Thermal Runaway Test. FV330 has been tested at 3.0mm thickness and passes 4-5 media grit cycles.​
