IDI Composites International, the premier global formulator and manufacturer of thermoset molding compounds, announces the appointment of Yves Longueville to the position of Operations Director for the company's sheet molding compound (SMC) facility in Shanghai, China.  Mr Longueville will be responsible for the management of all aspects of SMC production for IDI's Asia/Pacific markets, including applied technology, quality control, and product manufacturing.

With the addition of Mr. Longueville as SMC Operations Director, IDI will continue to offer its customers in-depth applications engineering and enhanced global support.  In his new role, Mr. Longueville will maintain IDI's material quality in the global marketplace and promote continuous improvement of IDI's SMC manufacturing operation.  As the liason between IDI's USA headquarters and IDI Asia/Pacific, Mr. Longueville will ensure adoption of the company's latest SMC manufacturing technology for Asia/Pacific markets.

Mr. Longueville brings to his new post extensive experience with SMC products and quality assurance in the industrial plant setting.  Most recently, he was employed at INOPLAST, where he was deeply involved with SMC compounding, SMC molding, and final product painting.  His quality assurance experience includes ISO 9000 certification and the development of statistical process control (SPC) data on raw materials and finished products.
