IDI Composites International, the premier global formulator and manufacturer of thermoset molding compounds, announces the appointment of Richard Kundrat to the position of Senior Materials Engineer. Mr. Kundrat will work with IDI’s global staff on the development and testing of new raw material formulations to provide customers of IDI Composites International with the highest quality raw materials for thermosetcomposite applications.

In addition to providing technical and fiscal leadership as product manager for all of IDI’s product lines, Mr. Kundrat will modify and develop compound formulations to decrease overall costs while maintaining important formulation characteristics. He will also work on technical articles, publications, and presentations to enhance IDI Composites International’s position as the world’s foremost experts on thermoset composites.

Mr. Kundrat is uniquely qualified for his new position. He holds both a B.S. and M.S. from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, as well as an MBA from Wichita State University in Finance and Marketing. Mr. Kundrat’s formidable experience in the industry includes positions as Principal Engineer for Boeing Corporation, Project Engineer for L.J. Broutman and Associates, Supervisor for Materials Engineering at Applied Composites, and Senior Process Engineer for Werner Corporation. Mr. Kundrat has also performed duties as an adjunct faculty member for Wichita State University.
