      Bulk Molding Compound (BMC) IDI Composites International thermoset bulk molding compounds (BMC) exhibit an outstanding mix of physical, chemical, and thermal properties, making them an ideal replacement for metals such as steel and die-cast aluminum.       UK - G7B G7B offers exceptionally good resistance to arcing in both high current and high voltage situations and has become long-established in providing parts for heavy duty engineering applications, eg. insulators and distribution equipment.
      UK - G8B G8B has been specifically formulated to give low surface resistivity and insulation resistance. This property lowers static electricity build-up on mouldings and reduces the risk of fire or explosion in potentially dangerous environments such as those encountered in hazard areas in the petrochemical and mining industries. The material is particularly suitable for enclosures for electrical equipment. G8B is a reduced flammability BMC with an oxygen index of 35% and has Underwriters Laboratories UL94 V0 approval.
      UK - GB Type GB is a glass reinforced polyester moulding compound which is moulded by the application of heat and pressure to form parts having good mechanical and electrical properties. Type GB forms mouldings of high impact and mechanical strength. The material was specifically developed for moulding of components that require a 'cosmetic' finish and reduced flammability. The material also has UL 94 flammability classification of VO and 5 VA. The material can be pigmented and can be supplied in any of the standard BMC colours. Special colours can be matched for special applications if required.
      UK - GBLS GBLS is especially suitable for applications where the spread of fire and the consequent generation of smoke must be minimised. No additives are included which would liberate toxic fumes on burning. GBLS 7317 is fully compliant with London Underground Limited's Code Of Practice for "Limited or Dispersed use". It has also gained NF F 16-101 approval to Class IO F1.
      UK - GBULS GBULS is especially suitable for applications where the spread of fire and the consequent generation of smoke must be minimised. No additives are included which would generate toxic fumes on burning. Fire resistance and smoke suppression are superior to GBLS, allowing its more widespread use in confined areas. GBULS 7318 is fully compliant with London Underground Limited's Code Of Practice for "Grouped or Extensive Use". It has also gained NFF 16-101 approval to class I0 F1.
      UK - HS Type HS is a flame retardant glass reinforced polyester moulding compound, which is moulded by the application of heat and pressure to form parts with good mechanical and electrical insulation properties. Type HS is a high glass fibre content material to provide high mechanical strengths and rigidity.
      UK - HSNB Type HSNB is a flame retardant glass reinforced polyester moulding compound, which is moulded by the application of heat and pressure to form parts with good mechanical and electrical insulation properties.
      UK - P8B Type P8B has been specifically formulated to give low surface resistivity and insulation resistance.       UK - PB UK - PB PB has a very low mould shrinkage and exhibits a smooth, low profile surface with excellent appearance and gloss. The material is fast curing and gives favourable cycle times, even on thick section mouldings. PB is a flame retardant grade BMC with an oxygen index of 44% and has Underwriters Laboratory approval (UL94-VO rating at 1.5mm thickness). It has also gained NFF16-101 approval to class I0 F1.
      UK - PH Type PH is particularly suited to applications such as parabolic reflectors for high performance automotive headlamps. The material has been specially formulated to be compatible with the vacuum metalisation process widely used in the manufacture of reflectors. Low volatiles emission on heating minimises ÔfoggingÕ of the reflector surface during service.
